SYMBIONT Wins Australian Good Design Award

Some exciting news for Special Things Furniture – our SYMBIONT Coffee Tables have won a prestigious green tick at the 2021 GOOD DESIGN AUSTRALIA AWARDS PRODUCT in the category of Product Furniture and Lighting

The Australian Good Design Awards is the country’s oldest and most prestigious international award for design and innovation with a proud history dating back to 1958. The Awards celebrate the best new products and services on the Australian and international market, excellence in architectural design, precinct design, engineering, fashion, digital and communication design, and reward new and emerging areas of design including design strategy, social impact design, design research and up-and-coming design talent in the Next Gen category.

The Good Design Awards Jury commented: “The customisable nature of the Symbiont Coffee Table is a playful way for customers to create their own piece of furniture. The colourways are great and it lends itself well to many applications. It’s a clever, versatile and unique design. ”

The tables are constructed in solid Oak, delivering quality and durability and their flexible design means they will fit easily into the home, office or commercial spaces.  The tables can be finished in natural timber or two-pack paint (as shown) in an extensive range of colours.
