The Shard Mirror began as an exploration of how a mirror could feel lighter, less bound by frame. A soft bevelled ellipse appears to float on a solid timber stand, creating a mirror that reads as both artwork and everyday object. Originally freestanding, the piece evolved to include a wall-mounted version that can be hung four ways, giving each space its own composition. It’s a mirror that’s designed not to follow trends, but to sit quietly within a space, timeless, functional, and considered. Designed and handcrafted in Melbourne, the award-winning Shard Mirror explores the relationship between sculpture and reflection. Its softly beveled elliptical form appears to float effortlessly within a finely crafted solid timber stand , creating a piece that is both a striking design object and a practical everyday mirror. Originally conceived as a freestanding floor mirror, the Shard has evolved into a versatile collection that can also be wall-mounted. It can be hung four ways, allowing each space to shape its own composition. Whether in an entrance hall, living space, bedroom, or dressing room, the shard brings a quiet sculptural presence to contemporary interiors. Each piece is made using premium6 millimeter mirror glass and carefully selected timbers including American oak, American walnut, and ebonized oak. Design recognition.
